NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER

Fall weather is upon us with the temperatures dropping. Please remember time falls back, on November 2nd.  Also, plan on attending the Community Thanksgiving Service held at Cornerstone Church on November 20th, at 6:30 PM.  Whoever is preaching?  _______________________________

As November unfolds we anticipate a month filled with exciting events such as All Saints Day(2nd), Veterans Day(11th), Community Service(20th), Thanksgiving Day(27th), the Iron Bowl(29th) and being able to have time off from work to relax while spending time with our family and friends.

I would like to challenge your thinking this Thanksgiving time of year to evaluate your own walk with the LORD???  How is it we can walk in the Spirit of the LIVING GOD????  Paul writes in Galatians 5:16-26 some wonderful words of truth!!

Walking in the Spirit:     16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. (NKJV)

I would like for you to take some time you have off this month to spend alone with GOD.  While with HIM I pray you will ask HIM what is in my life today I need to shed?  Is there anything in my life I need to change such as, attitudes, habits, or how I treat people? What would YOU LORD like for me to do with my talents (abilities), time, and possessions as far as the Church is concerned?  LORD please continue to help me to evaluate my witness as it concerns YOU?

If you are to walk in the Spirit You must keep yourself where HE is.  You must try to think as He thinks, work for the things that He is interested in, and feel as He feels.  As you walk in the Spirit, You do not do the works of the flesh because having crucified the old nature, you no longer want to do those things.

I am grateful for the people who support the church with their tithes, offerings, talent, prayers and presence,   To enable the church to do the ministry it was intended to do for the community.  If you have any ideas in ways to reach out to those who do not know Jesus Christ please give me a call, text or note.  It is a privilege to serve this church and my family is thankful for each and every one of you.  We pray for you and your family to become the very best the LORD has for you. As well as, for you to get involved in what God is doing here in our community of faith.  To recognize the church is an expression of our own witness to the community.  This is our church, take possession of it.  Own it!!!  We are the Church the people of the community see, hear, and depend on.  I pray you will be that person this year who asked the tough questions of yourself as you desire to walk in the Spirit! You can be a very powerful witness to our community!!!!  How Thankful I am for Paul as he gives us great food for thought toward our insight to Spiritual self-examination.  His purpose is for us to be the best people (Christians) possible to help build and edify the Body of Christ!!  HAPPY THANKSGIVING to your family from ours!  Blessings!  Bro. Tony Antonelli
