FEBRUARY 2015 NEWSLETTER

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The New Year has arrived, now what do we do with it?  I hope you will have a desire to serve the Christ Child, Jesus Christ!  By saying this we can seek out His face in our quiet place, read His instruction manual for life and gather together to worship Him!

Let us start with getting a new or recycled devotional book.  I have a few I really like.  You can start with the Upper Room, The Daily Bread or anyone you feel will benefit you.  Secondly, we need to be disciplined to read it daily [preferably at the start of your day] & (make it a habit).  You can take the time to look up the scriptures it refers to and this will enable you to study the Word. Thirdly, take it to the LORD in PRAYER.  Pray over what God has written through the devotion.  Ask God, what is it you are to learn from the devotion and how can you apply it to your life today?

You will be surprised how the devotion will apply to your life or how you can help someone that day by sharing your devotional story.  Life is good when you serve the One who gives it to you!

Then I would like to challenge you to come to church expecting God to show up in the most powerful way during your worship time.  Pray before you come that God would speak through the music, prayer time or preaching to your spirit man.  To enable you for the coming week of service to glorify Jesus Christ.  If you pursue the LORD I promise you will find HIM!

This new year I would also like to challenge you to make an effort to read through the Bible.  There are a variety of reading outlines to accomplish this task.  However, whichever you choose, let us begin reading.  It can only help us to learn more of what God has for each of us in the coming year.  Plus, what He desires us to do for Him.  I pray you will make this a goal for your New Year, especially if you have never read through the Bible.  It will be a great accomplishment.

It is not easy to serve JESUS! Because Satan will do all he can to keep you from it.  Therefore, learn to recognize the TRUTH of the WORD of GOD and live it!  Then you can tell if people are leading you toward GOD or away from GOD, honoring HIM or dishonoring HIM, edifying the BODY OF CHRIST or tearing down the BODY OF CHRIST?  By praying, reading and studying the Bible, doing your devotions and gathering together for worship of the LORD JESUS CHRIST this will be a great beginning in learning what God expects from us?  What you choose to do is a decision made only by you.  So I will be praying you will make good decisions this new year to be a disciplined Christian in your pursuit to SERVE JESUS.  Have a wonderful time of ministry this month!

In Christ Jesus,

Bro. Tony Antonelli, 2 Tim. 2:15
